Tell me what you want to tour and I'll line up a showing day for you.

The quick tip

Fresh paint and a nice candle can make any house look perfect. Let's look past that.

Travis Wright here, with eXp Realty. Here's what I want you checking when we tour homes together.

Look up. Stains on the ceiling can mean a roof or plumbing leak.

Look down. Soft spots in the floor, or cracks that run across the tile, are worth a closer look.

Open things. Cabinets, windows, closets. Check the water pressure, and flush a toilet. Yes, really.

Check the age of the big stuff: the roof, the heat and air unit, and the water heater. Those are the pricey ones.

And picture your real life there. Where does the couch go? Where do the groceries land?

Take photos and notes, because after three houses, they all blur together.

If there are any homes you'd like to see, just reply with the word HOMES, and I'll set up a showing.
